Cantine Dragani started their business way back in 1812. In that year the burgomaster of Caldari at that time signed a document that authorised one Dragani Emanuele to sell his products in the territory covered by that Commune. Even then the Dragani family were owners of their most famous estates such as Selva dei Canonici and Fonte Melata . It is likely that the two landholdings were rented from the monks of the convent in Frisa, who owned the neighbouring territories at that time, and as the years rolled by the two estates became the Dragani family’s natural habitat, that is to say where the family made the wine for it’s own consumption. Naturally farming methods have gradually evolved over the years and nowadays they are considered the best available. |
